About the exhibition:

What does it mean to navigate by sound? DC-based artist Imar Lyman draws on the concept of echolocation — the biological phenomenon by which animals use reflected sound waves to perceive their environment — as a lens for examining memory, perception, and the unseen. In this debut solo exhibition at The Kreeger Museum, presented in partnership with Pyramid Atlantic Art Center, Lyman brings together mixed media collage, painting, sculpture, and printmaking in a dynamic new body of abstract work.
